SaddleBrooke Ranch Ranchette Putters

ARTICLE I — NAME

Ranchette Putters  

ARTICLE II — PURPOSE

Ranchette Putters is a pleasant social group whose aim is to make new friends, have fun and improve putting skills.

ARTICLE III –BOARD OFFICERS

 A President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Coordinator, Statistician and Special Events Coordinator will be elected for minimum one-year terms. The election will be by ballot unless there are no competing nominees or volunteers for a position. In that case, a vote by show of hands will be acceptable. The Vice President will become President in the next year. The candidates will be nominated or can volunteer beginning at the first meeting in November. Voting will take place no later than the business meeting in December. The new officers will be introduced at the first meeting in January. Officers must be full-time residents or two co-officers may share a position to provide full-time coverage.

The Board is responsible for ensuring the continued smooth operation of the organization. All decisions will be made based on the best interests of the entire organization and will be made by the majority vote of the membership.

Expenditures by Board officers in excess of $50.00 must be preapproved.

If a Board officer is unable to fulfill their term, the Board will hold a special election.

ARTICLE IV — MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to all ladies who are residents or renters in SaddleBrooke Ranch. Membership shall not be denied to anyone due to race, religion or national origin. Annual dues for the year, January 1-December 31, must be paid by January 31st. Members who do not pay their dues by the stated date shall be dropped from membership in the organization until dues are paid in full. If previous members putt in January and then don’t join, they will be charged a $1.00 for each week they putted.

All members are required to participate on a committee or a job assignment at some time during the year.

A brief orientation is a requirement for membership by the Membership Coordinator or a Board Officer.

ARTICLE V — TIME AND PLACE

Putting is scheduled every Wednesday morning (except during over-seeding).   There will be monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of the month, following putting. On the other weeks, will be social time with beverages after putting.  Special meetings may be called to discuss business when needed.

Start time is 9:00 am November 1 through April 30 and 8:00 am May 1 through October 31. Members present at these meetings shall constitute a quorum for any organizational business decisions. Cancellations to the schedule will be made as necessary to accommodate weather conditions, etc.

ARTICLE VI — COMMUNICATIONS

Bylaws, Standing Rules, meeting minutes, roster and set-up schedule will be available to each member on the web site. Pertinent information is posted on the web site at http://www.ranchetteputters.wordpress.com. The Board will meet as needed when called by the President or Vice President.

ARTICLE VII — AMENDMENT OF BY-LAWS

Changes to the Bylaws must be approved by a two-thirds of members present at a monthly meeting. Any proposed changes to the By-laws will be announced at least one month prior to the vote and be posted on the Putter website. If Ranchette Putters is dissolved, any monies remaining in the treasury are to be given to a non-profit organization of the membership’s choosing.
